By now Colibra Island will have a certain ring to it, having recently entered the radar of local travel junkies and for good reason. Even from afar the island's cream-colored sand is enough to make any beach lover swoon. Add to that the almost unbelievably clear waters that change from a deep blue to a bright aqua as one approaches the island, and you've got a tropical paradise visitors won't soon forget. The island was named so for the resident snakes that would come out at night, though sightings have been less and less frequent these days. Only 16,000 square meters in size, the island can be circled in an afternoon, and with the option to camp out there overnight, both sunrise and sunset can be seen.

The jump off point for Dasol's more famous tourist attractions, Tambobong Beach is a beauty in itself, with a stretch of fine white sand and a front row view of the stunning sunrise. Waters here are typically calm and shallow, so swimmers and non-swimmers alike can enjoy. Marine life is plentiful in Tambobong as well, making it a great spot for snorkeling. Crocodile Island in Dasol
Attraction
6.09 km away

There are no actual crocodiles on Dasol's Crocodile Island, so tourists need not worry. Instead, this beautiful island has a shell-strewn beach and shallow tidal pools where different tiny sea creatures can be found. Frequented by tourists as a spot for eating and sunbathing, the rocky seabed isn't exactly swim-friendly, especially when the tide is low. But for the water babies who crave a dip, there is a small but scenic cave that opens out into the sea. Waters here are deep, so it's best for strong swimmers or floaters, but even those who don't dive in can make the most of the cave's picture-perfection.
