Misrepresented as "Death Pool", Depth Pool measures 20 feet in diameter and approximately 16 to 18 feet deep during low tide. It is located in Sitio Masangret, Barangay Baruan, Agno, Pangasinan, but can also be accessed thru Sitio Cabongaoan in the town of Burgos. Its vicinity is rocky (limestone). The surrounding area is best for sight seeing but the adjacent bay is not recommended for leisurely swimming due to deep waters.
With a generous sandbar, Paratek is great for beach bums of all ages, though the sharp rock formations are best reserved for the more stable walkers, who ideally are wearing the right footwear. It can be a challenging trek up and down the rough rocks, and the passage along the waters can get scarily narrow, with the waves smashing violently against the rocks. After a few twists and turns, the water does calm down at least for a short stretch – just enough for one to dive in and swim in the cool, bright blue waters.
The jump off point for Dasol's more famous tourist attractions, Tambobong Beach is a beauty in itself, with a stretch of fine white sand and a front row view of the stunning sunrise. Waters here are typically calm and shallow, so swimmers and non-swimmers alike can enjoy. Marine life is plentiful in Tambobong as well, making it a great spot for snorkeling. Those who are so inclined might even like to befriend the local fishermen and hop on board with them as they set out for sea at sunset and return just at the crack of dawn.
