Crusaders of the Divine Church of Christ
Attraction   1.50 km away

If you have ever wondered seeing a church with royal crowns and double cross, that's the Crusaders of the Divine Church of Christ. The first ever church was built in Brgy. Nibaliw, San Fabian in 1955. The founder, Rufino S. Magliba, which they usually call as Apo Rufing is declared that he was the annointed one. Aside from healing the sick, he was able to make a dead person rose from the dead. The church started when Apo Rufing heard a voice from the heavens asking him to make a new religion and build a church. Despite being judged and mocked, they continue growing and spreading worldwide which clearly shows their undying faith.

Mangrove Plantation
Attraction   2.22 km away

San Fabian's best buddy against storm surges, coastal erosion and the effects of climate change is their 10-hectare Mangrove Plantation. If you're the type of traveller who wants to be immersed with the daily lives of the locals, the Mangrove plantation is the place to be. Get yourself refreshed on the beach nearby and spend time with the locals by helping them out with planting and harvesting mangroves. The Mangrove Plantation was taken care of Lupang Pangako Association. BFAR encouraged them to plant and harvest mangroves to have an alternative source of income when fishing isn't working for them. Walking towards the mangrove plantation, you will notice ruins of an elementary school. They said it was destroyed by a storm surge during a typhoon. Despite this, people in this sitio are remarkably the people with genuine smile and will never hesitate to help. They said that having more livelihood programs for them would really be helpful.

Special Tupig and Fresh Buko Juice

Forget pasalubong center. San Fabian town in Pangasinan has a tupig and buko juice center in Barangay Tocok along San Fabian-Damortis Road. Just park along the road and choose from the 40 stalls that sell the province's infamous tupig paired with buko juice. Made from glutinous rice, margarine, sugar, oil, and grated coconut, tupig is grilled and cooked as you wait. It sells for P3 per piece, or at a discounted rate of P20 for seven pieces. Tocok's Tupig started a decade ago with Emily Abrio as the lone seller. As she taught some family members about the business, tupig and buko juice stands mushroomed in the area.
