Manaoag

Famous for its miraculous Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Manaoag, pilgrims and tourists come here thrice a year to celebrate three festivals: Manaoag's town fiesta, celebrated every third Wednesday after Easter Sunday; Parochial fiesta, celebrated every first Sunday of October and lastly, Galicayo festival, a celebration in honor of the miraculous apparition of the Virgin Mary in the 1500s which is held during the second Sunday of December. Derived from the word "mantaog" which means "to call", it goes to show that the municipality always welcome devotees that seek for help and healing.
