Santo Tomas is geographically just a dot in the Philippine map.  However, what makes up for what it lacks in nature are titles recognized worldwide and being a role model to our fellow Filipinos. In 2008, this town bagged its first ever Guinness record for having the world's longest barbecue of 93, 540 corn ears. Recently, the town attempted another world record for having the longest picnic or lines of 2, 470 tables that’s 6 kilometers long. They cooked 3, 600 kilos of pork, 3, 600 assorted vegetables paired with adobo (pork cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic) a la Santo Tomas con maiz.  They are just waiting for the official acknowledgement from  Guinness to claim their second world title.
